Vanočná polévka 4 ½ cups water 1 Tbs olive oil 3 Tbs butter 1 carrot, diced 1 parsnip, diced Celery root, diced ½ onion, chopped 1 Tbs flour 1 chicken bouillon cube 4 slice rye bread, cut into cubes and fried Sauté all vegetables in oil and 1 Tbs butter. When golden brown, add water, bouillon cube and let simmer for 30min. In a small skillet, melt remaining butter, add flour, stir together and cook until flour is lightly brown (jiška) Add jiška to soup and cook for another 30min. Serve soup over fried croutons.
